Aran islands are a small archipelago consisting of three islands, Inishmore, Inishmaan and Inisheer, inside Galway’s bay and reachable via a ferry leaving every morning from Doolin. In terms of geological structure, we notice strong similarities with Burren, as well as the same, incredible lunar and wild charme.
Here we are in Dún Aonghasa, on Inishmore island, a prehistoric fort dated 1st millennium B.C., overhanging the sea.
