Wat Saket, or Golden Mount, is the first temple we visited during our stay in Bangkok and, after a walk through the chaotic streets of Thai capital city, we immediately perceived it as an oasis of peace and serenity, surrounded by the green. The bells covering the roof, the gongs played by visitors and worshippers, create a soundscape out of the time. From the top, you can enjoy a wonderful view over the city, in our case also the view of an incoming monsoon.
