This morning the alarm clock rings at 4.30, so that we can witness the very well-known dawn in Bagan, one of the most magical, photogenic and famous places in the whole Myanmar, where there’s the world’s highest concentration of buddhist temples: more than 3000 on a 10 km2 area. Since the sky is not clear, our driver’s suggestion is to climb up to Nyaung-U panoramic tower, but can now definitely say that it wasn’t the best idea. In fact, we end up being surrounded by noisy Chinese tourists, an auditory sensation which is totally contrasting with the landscape stillness, sacredness and serenity.
