Wat Wat is a word that means “Buddhist temple” in some Countries of Asian South East (Thailand, Cambodia, Laos). In this case, as in many others, it refers to an entire area of a group of religious buildings. The main attraction in this place is an immense statue of the lying down Buddha, 46 meters long. In this building it’s possible to buy a handful of coins to be deposited inside the 108 small metal baskets that surround the statue, in order to ensure a fully positive future.
Just outside the building, on its staircase, we witness the rehearsals of a band of noisy kids.
Appena fuori, sulla gradinata dell’edificio, assistiamo alle prove di una banda di chiassosi bambini.
